The correction

An order that changes shape mid-call — the removal named out loud, the whole order rebuilt, and nothing pressed before the yes.

OUTCOME — AN ORDERREPLAYING · AS TRANSCRIBED
A REAL CALL OPENS WITH THE SPOKEN AI DISCLOSURE BEFORE ANY OF THIS — SPECIMENS BEGIN AT THEIR MOMENT.
THE LINE WORTH ENGRAVING
Done — the gyro plate is off. Two chicken shawarma wraps, both spicy.
STATES THE REMOVALThe dropped item is named out loud — never silently replaced, never quietly kept.
REBUILDS THE ORDERThe corrected order is restated whole, so the caller confirms what is actually true now.
NOTHING SENT YETNo ticket moves until the full readback gets its yes.
READ CLOSELY

What this one is the clearest example of.

WHAT IT DEMONSTRATES

The moment, held still

A caller changing their mind mid-order is the ordinary case, not the exception. The first statement of an order is treated as a draft: when the correction lands, the removed item is named, the new items are restated, and the whole order is read back once more before anything is sent anywhere.

The readback is the contract. Until the caller says yes to the full restatement — items, price, pickup — nothing is pressed to the kitchen. A correction never produces a ticket carrying the old version of the order.

THE HONEST RANGE

What would change with a different caller

If the caller had corrected again during the readback itself, the same fold happens once more — another restatement, another yes. The call never moves forward on a version the caller hasn't heard read back whole.

If the correction had named something the kitchen doesn't offer, the honest response is to say so and ask what the caller wants instead — never a near-match guessed at silently.

A TRANSCRIPT SHOWS ONE PATH THROUGH A CALL. THE RIGHT COLUMN STATES THE RANGE AROUND IT — NOT LEFT FOR YOU TO GUESS.

THE NEXT STEP

Hear it on your own line instead.

A specimen shows the mechanism. The next honest step is your own menu, your own hours, your own phone — set up yourself at signup, or with a person at access, heard by you either way.
